Getting Started

Create a repository

gh repo create my-site --template janole/nextra-template --public --clone cd my-site pnpm install

Run it

pnpm run dev # http://localhost:3000 pnpm run ok # build + typecheck + lint:fix + test

pnpm run ok is the gate: run it before finishing any change. CI runs pnpm qa, which is the same thing with a non-writing lint.

Make it yours

Edit site.config.ts — name, description, repository, footer. Deployment URLs are not in there: they are derived from the repository at build time, so a fresh clone deploys correctly without you editing anything.

Writing content

MDX files under content/docs/** and content/blog/** become pages. A _meta.js next to them controls order and sidebar labels:

export default { index: "Overview", "getting-started": "Getting Started", };

Full-text search is built at deploy time by Pagefind, so new pages are indexed automatically — there is nothing to register.
